A Meat Festival Featuring a Wide Variety of Meat Dishes
Held at Hibiya Park in the heart of Tokyo, Niku Matsuri 2026 in Hibiya Park is a food event dedicated to meat-based cuisine. The venue brings together a wide range of restaurants, food trucks, specialty shops, and businesses featuring regional ingredients, all offering their signature meat dishes including steaks, grilled meat, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, meat sushi, skewers, and more. One of the event’s highlights is the chance to sample distinctive meat dishes from different parts of Japan without leaving Tokyo. There is also plenty to enjoy beyond the food, with live music, stage performances, and photo spots throughout the venue. Whether you’re visiting with friends, as a couple, with family, or as a traveler from Japan or overseas, everyone is welcome.
Sample a Variety of Meat Dishes and Enjoy Live Entertainment
One of the best ways to enjoy Niku Matsuri is to sample its wide variety of meat dishes. The lineup will feature meat prepared in many different ways, including grilled dishes, fried foods, and rice dishes, with different cooking methods and seasonings bringing out the flavor of the meat in unique ways. We recommend taking a lap around the venue first to see what catches your eye. If you're visiting with friends or family, sharing dishes is recommended to enjoy a wider selection. There will also be special offerings that showcase Tokyo-grown ingredients, including the Tokyo-born TOKYO X pork and the local Tokyo Shamo chicken, giving visitors a chance to discover the distinctive flavors of Tokyo's own ingredients and meat dishes. A selection of craft beers and other drinks that pair well with meat dishes will also be available, adding to the unique food experience that Niku Matsuri has to offer. The special stage will also host the "Niku Matsuri Solo Dance Battle 2026 in Hibiya Park" and the "Niku Matsuri Dance Contest 2026 in Hibiya Park," featuring talented dancers and guest judges to liven up the venue.
Experience Japan’s Meat Culture in a Lush Urban Park
Meat dishes are a type of cuisine enjoyed by people of all ages and nationalities. At the same time, the ingredients, cooking methods, and seasonings vary from region to region, offering a chance to experience different aspects of Japan’s food culture through its meat dishes. Japan is home to unique meat dishes such as sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and yakitori, as well as those introduced from overseas, including steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, and gibier (wild game). Along with options featuring local ingredients, there are endless ways to enjoy them. Niku Matsuri started in Tokyo with the aim of allowing more people to easily enjoy this diverse meat food culture of Japan.
