A Taste of Tokyo Comes Together in Ariake

From traditional dishes like Edomae sushi (Tokyo-style sushi made with techniques developed during the Edo period, when Tokyo was known as Edo) and Edomae tempura (lightly battered, freshly fried seafood prepared in the same Edo-period style) to flavors from around the world, Tokyo is a city where diverse food cultures meet.
Tokyo Tokyo Delicious Museum is a large-scale food festival where you can experience that diversity firsthand.

This event is designed to share Tokyo’s rich and diverse food culture with visitors from across Japan and around the world.
In 2025, it welcomed around 53,000 visitors and was widely praised as a lively festival where guests could enjoy not only Tokyo’s incredible food scene, but also live music and interactive experiences. Now in its fifth year, the event will bring together more than 40 restaurants and food vendors—from trending hotspots to long-established favorites. Many are places you might otherwise need to go out of your way to visit.
It’s a chance to sample specially curated dishes created by some of Tokyo’s leading chefs, all while enjoying the relaxed, open-air atmosphere.

Explore Tokyo’s Food Scene Across Four Zones

The venue is divided into four themed areas: the Edo Zone, Food Journey Zone, Tokyo Delicious Zone, and Market & Food Culture Experience.
In the Edo Zone, you’ll find traditional Tokyo dishes that date back to the Edo period, including sushi, unagi(eel), tempura, and soba.
The Food Journey Zone highlights regional specialties from across Japan, each with its own local character. It’s an easy way to sample a wide range of flavors from different parts of the country—all without leaving Tokyo—and get a sense of just how diverse Japanese food culture can be.

In the Tokyo Delicious Zone, you can explore not only Japanese cuisine but also dishes from around the world. Alongside familiar favorites like Italian and Spanish food, the lineup is set to include cuisines that are still relatively uncommon in Japan, such as Jamaican and Peruvian.
There’s also a wide range of options to suit different dietary preferences, including vegan, gluten-free, and Muslim-friendly options. With dishes designed to be approachable for children in both flavor and portion size, as well as options that are easy to share, visitors of all ages—and from all over the world—can enjoy Tokyo’s diverse food scene together.

In the Market & Food Culture Experience zone, you’ll find an array of trending gourmet items and sweets. For those looking to go beyond just tasting, the area also offers shopping for Tokyo-made sake and crafts, along with food-themed workshops that both adults and children can enjoy.
One highlight, especially popular with international visitors, is the hands-on sushi-making experience. It’s a rare chance to learn directly from experienced sushi chefs and try your hand at shaping sushi yourself. You can then enjoy what you’ve made on the spot—an experience that can easily become a memorable part of your trip to Japan.
